Anyway, a bit of back story: I wasn't very concern with my irregular menses when I was younger lalo pa at nakakatipid ako from buying menstrual pads. When I got married in 2010, wapakels pa rin ako sa schedule ni Aunt Flo. I'm not sure kung ano tawag nun here in Manila but there was this term - 'naglalayag' sa amin sa Quezon. All along akala ko mahilig lang talaga mag-travel ang period ko. LOL
Then the irregularity of my monthly period went from a couple of weeks to a couple of months. That was the time din na medyo nagpaplano na kami ni Papa Prinz na magka-baby. Syempre we consulted an OB-Gyn kaagad because mahirap makipag patintero sa monthly cycles ko while trying to have a baby.
Then I discovered na meron pala akong polycystic ovaries. My OB described it in layman terms as parang pimples sa ovaries. Oooops, sereee TMI. :)) Basta kung anuman yun, it messes up with my hormones kaya hindi maka-function ng maayos ang mga ovaries ko. Ganern!
Anyway, fast forward natin ng konte: I was so happy and thankful nung nabuntis ako nung 2012 despite having polycystic ovaries and a little treatment. Hindi makapaniwala ang OB ko because meron daw syang PCO/PCOS patient na hirap talagang makabuo naturally and opted for a more expensive option like In vitro fertilization (IVF). Naisip ko din yan actually dati with all my emote at feeling ko noon I am so worthless as a woman. Kaya naman every time I look at Caylee now, sobrang proud and happy and thankful talaga ako dahil alam kong blessing talaga sya ni God sa amin. =)
So many great and wonderful things happened since I've became a mother. Kamuntik ko nang makalimutan ang nakaraan ko nung isa pa akong sawing babae na may polycystic ovaries. I already sensed some familiar hormonal imbalances during the past months. Weird cravings, disgusting body acne, abnormal hair growth...
