Throwback Friday: Caylee's Past Birthday Celebrations

Caylee will be turning 5 years old in a week or so.

Extra emotional ang lola nyo these days. Simula yan nung she started formal schooling in kindergarten... Ewan ko ba. Siguro dahil officially confirmed na HINDI NA LANG TALAGA SA AKIN UMIIKOT ANG MUNDO ng bagets.

Nakaka sad din ng slight.

Haha, arte ay!

Anyway, I started this parang customary chenes tuwing birthday ni Caylee since she was 3 years old. I always make sure na gigising sya with simple decors as well as birthday presents on the day of her birthday. The number of gifts that she receives each year represents, or is equivalent to kung ilang taon na sya.

I know.

Good luck sa amin dahil habang tumatanda sya mas madaming regalo ang kailangang bilhin.

HAHAHA!

Doesn't need to be expensive naman. It just needs to be extra special and memorable every year. Besides, I'm planning to stop this tradition kemerut pag 21 na sya.

Here's what we prepared for her nung 3rd birthday nya:

At eto naman last year:

Siguro this year we will not give her toys anymore. Or maybe we'll buy something that she can play with pero may mapapala sya. Something educational. Parang ganun. Suggestions anyone?

It will be a simple home celebration as usual.

I like it that way.

Matipid na mas intimate pa. Hehe.

And siguro dahil nakasanayan ko din. I remember my Mama would cook and prepare traditional birthday food (pancit, tasty bread, etc) for me when I was little. There was one time na I was allowed to invite my friends and classmates altogether (7th birthday ko ata yun) and we would eat and celebrate sa house namin. Masaya! Growing up naman, she would just give us gifts or small tokens (Avon products, gold plated jewelries, etc) during our birthdays. I miss my mudrabels tuloy. Waaahhhh!

Now that I'm a mother myself, the way my child remembers her birthday last year and make kwento about it makes me equally happy. Yun lang, when you tell her na malapit na ang birthday nya, she will assume agad na there will be birthday decors and presents for her pag gising nya. Sya na! HAHAHA.

Of course I know naman in my heart that more than the stuff that we gave her during her birthdays, she really appreciates

US.

Being THERE for her.

Spending time WITH her.

Anyway, Caylee had technically 2 first birthday parties. One was during her 1st birthday talaga. We were too broke then to even treat her to a decent Jollibee meal (lels). Emegerd, I can't even remember kung paano kami naka survive after paying a fortune on hospital bills when I gave birth to her.

Mabuti na lang my in-laws were kind and generous enough to help us have a party for her. Thank God for in-laws! :D

Safari themed party.
The second one was OUR gift to her. Parang celebration na din after overcoming all the trials when I gave birth. A special way na rin of appreciating her for coming into our lives. I mean, 3 years talaga namin syang hinintay eh.

This one naman is a Hello Kitty (Hello Caylee) themed party.

So yun, now I shall figure out kung paano mai incorporate ang Shantae (Half-Genie Hero) na drama sa birthday nya next week. Sobrang gusto nya yun ngayon. Anak na anak ng gamer na dady eh. Lels.

Stay sane,
